fresh The pictures for this film I took from a plastic bag of a butcher‘s shop. I cut the single elements out of the plastic bags and stuck them 10 times each one after the other on a transparent strip of 16mm-film. This montage is permeable to light. The projection cuts the elements, which have different lengths from 1 to 7 frames, in single frames. The eye interprets the sucession of forms as movements. For the sound I spoke the sentences on the bag. I made 10 copies and cut short elements of the sound along with the pictures.
frisch Eine Plastiktüte aus einer Metzgerei ist das Aus- gangsmaterial für den Film „frisch“. Ich habe aus den Tüten die einzelnen Formen herausgeschnitten und jedes Element 10mal hintereinander aufgeklebt. Die so entstandene Montage ist lichtdurchlässig und läßt sich direkt projizieren. Durch die Projektion werden die Elemente, welche unterschiedlich lang sind und den Raum von 1-7 Filmkadern einnehmen, optisch getrennt. Das Auge nimmt die Abfolge der Formen als Bewegung wahr. Der Ton ist identisch mit den Sätzen auf der Tüte. Ich habe ihn 10mal überspielt und den Bildelementen entsprechend geschnitten.
frais Un sac en plastique provenant d’une boucherie est le matériau source du film « frais ».J’ai découpé les formes individuelles des sacs et collé chaque élé- ment 10 fois de suite. Le montage résultant est translucide et peut être projeté directement. La pro- jection sépare visuellement les éléments, qui sont de différentes longueurs et occupent l’espace de 1 à 7 images de film. L’œil perçoit la séquence des formes comme un mouvement. Le son est identique aux phrases sur le sac. Je l’ai doublé 10 fois et je l’ai coupé en fonction des élé- ments de l’image. |
